Corsairs Victorious at Oswego HS, 2-1

Hurler Lawrence Lindsey gave the Jesuit HS Corsairs a solid start. The native of Ashland, California helped his team defeat the Oswego HS Lynx, 2-1, at Ballpark of Oswego. The win went to Joe Parsons in relief. His record improves to 3-2. River MacDonald took the loss. The last-place Lynx have lost 4 consecutive games.
Jesuit HS used the clutch hitting of Ty Nash to snag the win. The third baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Corsairs ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"That's baseball," said Oswego HS manager Leonard Marshall. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
