The Mankato West HS Reds got a magnificent effort from pitcher Larry Neal, who kept Yerington HS hitters in check en route to a 2-0 Reds win at Skeeters Ballpark. The save went to James Miller, his 6th this season. The first-place Reds now have a record of 17-13.
The Reds had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 2-0, Mankato West HS, with one out. Yerington HS, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Joe Bush dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 fastball, he lined out.
