Niihama-shi registered a win at Washoe Field by beating the Reno Zephyrs, 3-2. Pitcher Connor Leith was one reason why the Ghosts triumphed. Leith, now 9-5, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The win elevated the Ghosts to 62-50.

Niihama-shi used the hitting of Seung-cheol Yi to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Ghosts on top, 3-0. For the game, Yi had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Yi told the Niihama-shi Herald.
