The Hamilton Industrialists got a superb performance from pitcher Júlio Saucedo, but the Red Deer Kings still won the game, 7-2. Saucedo came in in relief and pitched to 18 batters. Taizo Tamura, the winner, goes to 6-6. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts over 6 innings. Fred Sanders, who is tied for 3rd in the PCAL in holds with 10, nailed down the save.

With Red Deer leading 5-0 in the top of the fourth, Marcus Blackadder hit a 2-run single off Hamilton pitcher Rich Jones. It put the Kings ahead 7-0.

Blackadder said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.

With the victory, the Kings upped their record to 70-70.
