Greg Abutin, who is tied for 4th in the PCAL with a 2.56 ERA, pitched well, but the Ikari Warriors still fell short, losing, 3-1, to the Lodoss Spell Swords at Ikari Grounds. Perry Wichers got the win, improving to 6-6. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run, while striking out 5 and walking 1. Lodoss bumps their record to 62-75 with the win.

The Spell Swords got an important contribution from shortstop Ryo Kouda, who in the top of the third hit a 3-1 fastball to left for a run-scoring double. It was his 22nd double of the season and put the Spell Swords ahead, 2-0.

"The chili dogs will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Kouda.
