The Toyohira Fubuki defeated the Brampton Camels, 8-1, in Pacific Alliance action at Ballpark of Brampton. Toyohira pitcher Tim Bennett had a standout performance. In 6 innings, Bennett surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Tsutomu Nagai got the save, his 3rd in 3 chances.

Toyohira used the stroke of Toru Kobayashi to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Fubuki ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Bennett said.

The first-place Fubuki go to 86-51.
