Camels Dumped, 6-4, by Toronto
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Toronto Phantoms and Brampton Camels.
Due in large part to third baseman Wes Lock, the Toronto Phantoms sunk the Brampton Camels, 6-4. Lock was 2 for 3 with a triple and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Toronto pitcher Ramiro Suárez got the win. He's now 7-12. Cliff Morris was tagged with the loss. Eddy Young nailed down the save.
Center Fielder Rowan Guao made an impact for Toronto, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Cliff Morris in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Guao went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Lock.
Toronto occupies third place in the Pacific Alliance Maple Leaf at 70-64.
