Amoruso Paces Flying Fish to 2-0 Win
|
Bridgetown Flying Fish starter Hugo Amoruso turned in a top-notch performance against the Montserrat Mystique at Soufriere Hills Park. The result was a win for the Flying Fish, 2-0. Bridgetown is second in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Paradise League with a record of 36-28.
Amoruso was in the zone all game. He frustrated Montserrat hitters while giving the Flying Fish 7.1 innings of quality work. Amoruso threw 92 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 6 punchouts.
"Whenever I help the team," said Amoruso, "I feel like I earned my paycheck."
