The Charlotte Amalie Batey beat the Punta Cana Mamajuanas, 7-6, at Batey Ballpark. Charlotte Amalie designated hitter Allan Yi had an outstanding performance. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The winner in relief was Vicente Sánchez. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. António Morán earned the save for Charlotte Amalie.

Yi contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Charlotte Amalie in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 6-5, Yi took a splitter from Fokke Leuthold and stroked the home run to left. His 20th home run of the season allowed the Batey to leap in front, 7-6.

Yi said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."

The last-place Mamajuanas dropped to 21-42.
