Palm Springs starter Bang-xao Niu ran into little resistance from Reno hitters, as his team cruised to victory, 9-2. After today's action, Palm Springs sits at 63-47, while Reno falls to 54-56.

Stephen Milk had a big 2-run double for the Codgers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Palm Springs trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a knuckleball from James Berridge, who is tied for 8th in the SL in wins with 11, and swatted a double to left. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Codgers ahead, 2-1.

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Milk told the Palm Springs Today.
