Skidding Decepticons Lose 6th Straight
|
The Santo Domingo Decepticons got a superb performance from pitcher Randall Tynnan, but the Bridgetown Flying Fish still won the game, 5-2. Tynnan threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The winner in relief was Enrique García. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. He now owns a record of 4-1. Santo Domingo now owns a losing streak of 6 games.
Jesse Robinson played the role of hero for Bridgetown. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a grand slam home run off Lúcio Young to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.
"This place was jumping at the end," Robinson said.
