Late Offense Lifts Bridgetown to 8-5 Victory
The Bridgetown Flying Fish faced a tough opponent in Charlotte Amalie pitcher Cheh Er, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Batey Ballpark by a final score of 8-5. Er went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Bridgetown reliever Ánibal Alvarado was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Massimiliano Bermani. Valentín Mejía recorded the save, his 16th.

Bridgetown used a clutch hit from Hak-joon Ch'oe to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Flying Fish ahead, 8-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"Good win for us," said Ch'oe. "Now we'll focus on the next one."

At 32-28, the Flying Fish are currently third in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Paradise League.
