Aruba and Montserrat duked it out and the Wahoos came out victorious.
The Aruba Wahoos locked up a win at The Fish Bowl, knocking off the Montserrat Mystique, 2-1. On the mound for Aruba was right-hander Berta Oluyemi. He played a major role in the triumph. Aruba, at 27-24, sits in second place in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Paradise League.
Mike Newman contributed to the Aruba win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 2 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"Sometimes a win comes easy," Oluyemi told the Aruba News. "And sometimes you have to scratch and claw."
