Kumamoto Upended, 7-5, by Seoul
|
Seoul and Kumamoto duked it out and the Crushers came out victorious.
The Seoul Crushers beat the Kumamoto Mothra, 7-5, at Crushatorium. Raúl García, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The winner was Jorge Lorenzo, who threw 105 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 5 hits.
Yosuke Sasaki had a big 2-run home run for the Crushers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Seoul leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he got a splitter from Kimi Suzuki, who is tied for 4th in the PCAL in saves with 26, and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 11th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Crushers ahead, 3-0.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Sasaki.
The victory gives Seoul a record of 78-52.
