The Gatineau Balloonists rode a solid performance from 26-year-old starting pitcher Marcos Segura to a win, beating the Red Deer Kings, 4-2, at Kings Ballpark. Picking up the save was Dave Gregory, his 11th. The win puts Gatineau at 72-54 this season.

Gatineau won the game in part because of Raúl Martínez. The first baseman ripped a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Balloonists ahead, 3-2. For the game, Martínez had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"Marcos has the heart of a gladiator," said Gatineau manager Jason Campbell.
