Drillers Beat Spell Swords, 8-4, at Medicine Hat Municipal Stadium
Medicine Hat Drillers starter Ricardo Cantú found his groove in his team's 8-4 win over the Lodoss Spell Swords. The 4th-place Drillers improved to 52-74.

The Spell Swords had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Drillers going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old center fielder Iván Hernández came to the plate. Hernández hit a solo home run on a 1-2 slider from Lodoss hurler Jong-hoon Ch'ang. It was Hernández's 11th home run of the year.

"The credit goes to our offense," said Medicine Hat manager Michael Burton.
