Brophy Prep took on Castle HS in front of a lively crowd.

The Brophy Prep Broncos downed the Castle HS Lords, 9-3, at Broncos Ballpark. Bryan Armstrong led the way, going 2-for-3 for Brophy Prep. Pat Williams, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 2.1 innings of relief. He allowed 2 runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 4.

Josh Rose's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the game tied, 3-3. The Brophy Prep third baseman hit a run-scoring single off Tyler Metcalf to put the Broncos up.

"I like winning," Armstrong told the Brophy Prep Chronicle. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
