Soggy conditions did not keep Fargo and Neo-Tokyo from playing their scheduled game.

The Fargo Dinosaurs topped the Neo-Tokyo Akira by a score of 8-5. Leading the way was right fielder Bob Smith. Smith went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Dinosaurs. Emerson MacDonald picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Scott Courtier suffered the loss.

Fargo needed the clutch hitting of Daniel Payne to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Dinosaurs on top, 7-5. For the game, Payne had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

In postgame comments to the Fargo Bulletin, Payne said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
