Boone HS designated hitter Bubba Bowman was sensational. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Lodi HS beat the Matadors, 2-1, in 12 innings. The first-place Devils lifted their record to 12-10.

Lodi HS got a game-changing hit from Xavier Russell. The center fielder blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Russell said after the game.
