Riding the 3-hit performance of the 17-year old second baseman Kendrick Poole, the Mankato West HS Reds stopped the Oswego HS Lynx, 8-2. José Sánchez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Arturo Rodríguez was tagged with the loss. The first-place Reds lifted their record to 13-11.

With Mankato West HS leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Poole came up to bat against Oswego HS pitcher Arturo Rodríguez. Poole hit a fastball to right for a 2-run triple. His 2nd triple of the season put the Reds on top, 3-0.

"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Oswego HS skipper Leonard Marshall.
