The Snow Canyon HS Yeti downed the Tumwater HS Thunderhawks, 9-6, at Yeti Field. The Yeti were led by Jerome McDonald. McDonald went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Snow Canyon HS reliever Paul Origel picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Jason Bailey took the loss. Joe Nash collected save number 5.

Had Ryan Matthews not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Matthews hit a 2-run single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Yeti.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Matthews.

The 4th-place Yeti now have a win-loss record of 11-8.
