Myrmidon Shut Out Surge, 7-0

The De La Salle HS Myrmidon picked up a win at Myrmidon Ballpark, taking down the Bellevue West HS Surge, 7-0. Starting pitcher José Alejo was a big reason why. The Myrmidon sit in first place in the Western League Pacific Conference with a record of 13-5.
Ramiro Garza had a big grand slam home run for the Myrmidon in the bottom of the seventh inning. With De La Salle HS leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 15-year old right-handed pitcher Bill Cabrera and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Myrmidon on top, 7-0.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said De La Salle HS manager Salvador Díaz.
