Myrmidon Pick Up 4-2 Win
|
The De La Salle HS Myrmidon picked up a win at Myrmidon Ballpark, taking down the Bellevue West HS Surge, 4-2. Starting pitcher Thomas Conner was a big reason why. The winner was Conner. He threw 6.1 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Steve Bailey. Octávio García recorded the save, his 5th.
In the top of the ninth, Walt Hoover stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Surge were trailing 4-2, but had the bases loaded. That's when Octávio García made a terrific pitch and Hoover popped out. Gone was the dream of a Bellevue West HS comeback.
The third-place Myrmidon now sit at 11-5.
