The Tumwater HS Thunderhawks got a superb performance from pitcher Joaquín Pacheco, but the Boone HS Matadors still won the game, 7-4. Pacheco threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. By defeating Tumwater HS, the third-place Matadors improved to 9-9.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Troy Phipps? The Boone HS catcher had a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Matadors on top, 7-4. For the game, Phipps had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Phipps said after the game.
