The Horizon HS Huskies rode a solid performance from 18-year-old starting pitcher Nathan Brooks to a win, beating the Mankato West HS Reds, 2-0, at Mankato Park. Brooks, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up no walks. The Huskies upped their record to 7-10.

Mitchell Cameron, who is the 2nd-best prospect in the Huskies organization, had a direct impact on the outcome. Cameron contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Horizon HS up, 2-0.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Brooks.
