Fading Hitmen Lose 6th Straight
|
The Arlington Bureaucrats topped the New Jersey Hitmen, 5-4, in Imperial League action at Jane P. Woods Memorial Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Arlington pitcher and Rancho Cucamonga, California, native Dennis Villarreal. Arlington reliever Jack Lynch got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Frazer Bacon was tagged with the loss. The last-place Hitmen have lost 6 straight games.
Rafael Rodregez was the walk-off hero for Arlington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bureaucrats catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Rodregez said.
