The Laval Islanders and starting pitcher Raúl Martínez stifled the Medicine Hat offense en route to a comfortable 10-0 win at Islanders Ballpark. The 5th-place Islanders now sit at 62-62.

Martínez was dominant for Laval. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits, while racking up 10 strikeouts. He threw 100 pitches over 7 innings in the contest.

"Raúl was hitting his spots," said Laval manager Ken Tuttle. "It's hard to pitch better than that."
