Quebec City Frenchies starter Bernardo Peña hurled his team past the Medicine Hat Drillers, 2-1. Shumei Sakei picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-2. Ira Schumacher was tagged with the loss. After today's action, Quebec City sits at 57-67; Medicine Hat slips to 51-73.

The Quebec City Ballpark crowd went wild in the bottom of the sixth when Claudio Noriega, who is tied for 4th in the PCAL in doubles with 35, won the game for Quebec City with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. Noriega drove in one run in the contest.

"Bernardo didn't monkey around out there," said Quebec City field general Geoffrey Holland.
