Francisco goes 3-for-5 in Thoroughbreds Win
The Kentucky Thoroughbreds defeated the San Antonio Calzones of Laredo, 12-4, in Imperial League action at Raceway Park. Ramón Francisco pulled his weight. The 10-year veteran went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The winner in relief was Kyle Colquhoun. The left-hander allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 7 innings. He now owns a record of 11-11. The last-place Thoroughbreds now sit at 75-87.

Juan Carlos Cruz had a big 2-run home run for the Thoroughbreds in the bottom of the first inning. With Kentucky trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a splitter from Yuji Yamashita, who finished 5th in the SL in wins with 15 in 2037, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Thoroughbreds on top, 2-1.
