The Reno Zephyrs got a good effort from starter James Berridge in defeating the Palm Springs Codgers at Elderberry Field. The final score was 3-2. Anthony Soame picked up his 38th save of the season. Their 84-77 record puts the Zephyrs 4th in the Sovereign League Desert Hills.
Ricardo Losa, who is tied for 6th in the SL in bases on balls with 74, had a direct impact on the outcome. Losa contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Reno up, 1-0.
Losa was in a reflective mood after the contest. He told the Reno Today, "Every game is it's own challenge. That's what keeps the competitive fire alive."
