Farstriders Fall Short, 5-4, at Arlington

The Arlington Bureaucrats defeated the Florida Farstriders, 5-4, in Imperial League action at Jane P. Woods Memorial Stadium. Arlington pitcher Brian Clark had a standout performance. The second-place Bureaucrats have won 4 in a row.
Had Frank Hernández not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Hernández hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Bureaucrats.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Florida manager Anastasio López. "But we decided not to take it."
