Wind Dancers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Akira, 9-5
The Toyama Wind Dancers took Neo-Tokyo pitcher Emílio Torres's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Neo-Tokyo Grounds. The final score had Toyama getting past the Akira, 9-5. Torres went 6 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 6. At 95-62, the Wind Dancers have a slim two-game lead in the Sovereign League Rising Sun.

Toyama used a timely hit from Wu-jiang Siu to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Wind Dancers ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Siu told the Toyama Today. "Whatever it takes."
