Havana Gets 6-2 Win Against Underground
Wet weather did not postpone the Havana-London ballgame.

The Havana Leones rode a solid performance from 34-year-old starting pitcher Volmer Buscher to a win, beating the London Underground, 6-2, at Campos Peloteros. With this game in the books, Havana is 71-86, London 85-72.

Making an impact for Havana was shortstop Ricardo Mateo. Ogre drilled a run-scoring double off Laurent Garcia in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Mateo was 1-4 with a double.

"It was a solid team effort," Mateo said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
