In a low-scoring contest, Fushigi Yugi pitcher Shane Martin was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. Fushigi Yugi has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
Alec Woodford had a big run-scoring double for the Celestial Warriors in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Fushigi Yugi leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher José Ríos and swatted a double to right. It was his 21st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Celestial Warriors ahead, 2-0.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Edo manager Simon Yates. "Obviously."
