Late Rally Earns Kumamoto 7-3 Win
The Toronto Phantoms got a superb performance from pitcher Jesús Luna, but the Kumamoto Mothra still won the game, 7-3. Luna threw 8.0 innings allowing 2 runs. Decheng Zhi, 6-7, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. Kumamoto is now 53-68, while Toronto is 62-59.

Kumamoto used the timely hitting of Vincente Encarnación to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mothra on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"If you're not prepared, it's not pressure you feel, it's fear," mused Kumamoto manager Mike Robinson.
