Ricardo Cantú, who is tied for 2nd in the PCAL in strikeouts with 162, had a strong outing for the Medicine Hat Drillers against the Hamilton Industrialists at Medicine Hat Municipal Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. Medicine Hat sits in 4th place in the Pacific Alliance Wild Rose at 49-72.

Early in the game, left fielder Shoin Oda had a 3-run home run for Medicine Hat. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Drillers on top, 3-0.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Cantú told the Medicine Hat Daily.
