The Medicine Hat Drillers picked up a win at Ikari Grounds, knocking off the Ikari Warriors, 7-4. Starting pitcher Haranobu Taniguchi played a key role in the triumph. Steve Hogan provided a timely hit. The Medicine Hat third baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Drillers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Ikari skipper Enrique Vázquez said.
