Edmonton registered a win at Islanders Ballpark by beating the Laval Islanders, 5-2. Pitcher Parker Wagner was one reason why the Mall Ratz triumphed. Edmonton is in first place in the Pacific Alliance Wild Rose with a record of 62-56.

Gerardo Santana had a big 2-run home run for the Mall Ratz in the top of the third inning. With Edmonton leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher John Lee and punished it. The result was his 15th home run of the season, which put the Mall Ratz on top, 3-0.

"Winning is the only objective," said Santana after the game.
