Islanders Get Thrilling 8-7 Win
In the 8-7 Laval win over Lodoss, the impact of Francisco Cruz was substantial. Cruz was 1-1 with a home run and a walk. Laval now sports a record of 50-65.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 13th. With two out, Cruz hit a fastball from Shawn Pope for a solo home run. The Islanders, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Cruz told the Laval Herald.
