Medicine Hat left-hander Finley Dwennon helped his team edge Sherwood Park by the score of 3-2. Dwennon kept the opposing lineup in check. The winner was Dwennon. He threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was Pedro Martínez.

Jorge Delgado had a direct impact on the outcome. Delgado contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Medicine Hat up, 3-2.

"We busted our tails," said Sherwood Park manager Takanobu Rin. "But we came up short."
