Medicine Hat starter Haranobu Taniguchi pitched well against the Brampton Camels at Medicine Hat Municipal Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. The save was Takashi Nakai's, his 17th. Medicine Hat is now 44-69.

The Drillers got a big at-bat from second baseman Héctor Ramírez. For the game, Ramírez went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Medicine Hat a 6-3 lead.

"We didn't play well enough to win," Brampton skipper Pepe Espinosa said.
