Islanders Hand Quebec City 4-2 Loss
|
Laval Islanders starter Brad Flynn turned in a top-notch performance against the Quebec City Frenchies at Quebec City Ballpark. The result was a win for the Islanders, 4-2. Max Minter collected his 4th save. At 49-63, the Islanders are currently last in the Pacific Alliance Maple Leaf.
Laval used the hitting of Félix Flores to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Islanders on top, 3-0. For the game, Flores had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"That's how you're going to be successful," said Islanders manager Ken Tuttle. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
