The Hamilton Industrialists defeated the Laval Islanders, 11-3, in Pacific Alliance action at Islanders Ballpark. Hamilton pitcher Héctor Velásquez had a standout performance. Velásquez, now 6-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. With the win, Hamilton raised its record to 56-53.

Hyo-sang Han had a big 3-run home run for the Industrialists in the top of the first inning. With Hamilton leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a curveball from Ernesto Moreno and swatted a home run to center. It was his 12th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Industrialists ahead, 4-0.
