The Medicine Hat Drillers powered past the Laval Islanders, 12-7, at Medicine Hat Municipal Stadium. Jorge Delgado went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4, to lead the charge. The Drillers raised their record to 39-66.

Steve Hogan hit a bases-clearing double off Max Minter in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Drillers in front, 7-4. In addition to the double, Hogan had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Michael Burton said.
