The Quebec City Frenchies eked out a 3-2 win versus the Toyohira Fubuki at Quebec City Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Mario González. He was terrific. González picked up the win for Quebec City, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 5-2. Picking up the save was Shumei Sakei, his 1st.

Armando Reyes had a critical at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for Quebec City. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Quebec City in front, 3-1.

"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said González. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."

The Frenchies now own a record of 52-54.
