Balloonists Knock Off Warriors at Ikari Grounds
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Gatineau Balloonists and the Ikari Warriors. Gatineau won it, 2-1. Gatineau starter Rupert Muijen was in command. Muijen got the win, improving to 9-3. He gave up 2 hits and walked 3 over 5.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. The win boosted Gatineau to 55-45.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Balloonists had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the fourth, when right fielder Leopoldo Paparelli hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Ángelo Germán and made the score 2-1, Balloonists. Paparelli was 1 for 3.

Muijen told reporters after the game: "Runs were at a premium, so a good win for us."
