Medicine Hat third baseman Steve Hogan contributed significantly to his team's 5-4 win over the Kumamoto Mothra. Hogan, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2036 draft, went 5 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Drillers. The Drillers, at 35-65, sit in last place in the Pacific Alliance Wild Rose.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Medicine Hat designated hitter Jorge Delgado, facing Decheng Zhi, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Drillers the 5-4 win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Delgado said.
