New Orleans Absorbs 7-1 Loss to Kentucky
|
New Orleans had no answer for Kentucky Thoroughbreds hurler Kyle Colquhoun, who overwhelmed Trendsetters hitters as the Thoroughbreds coasted to victory, 7-1. Colquhoun got the win, improving to 5-10. He gave up 2 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. He allowed no runs. Kentucky has a record of 45-60, placing them last in the Imperial League Dixie.
Ramón Francisco cracked a home run off Seitaro Tanaka in the bottom of the first. His 2-run blast put the Thoroughbreds on top, 2-0. In all, Francisco had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Francisco. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
