The Toyohira Fubuki torpedoed the Medicine Hat Drillers at The Snow Dome. The final score was 6-2, Toyohira. Kenzo Ohara went 4-for-4 for the winning team. Luis Quintanilla earned the win to go to 7-8. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work. Stephen Johnston earned the save for Toyohira, his 5th of the year.

Toyohira took a 5-2 lead on Ohara's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Ricardo Cantú in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Toyohira to the win.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Ohara after the game.

The third-place Fubuki are 58-37.
