Stallions Claim 4-2 Triumph
|
The Immaculata HS Stallions got a marvelous performance from pitcher Ronald Rhodes. The left-hander kept the Dublin offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 Immaculata HS victory at Dublin Stadium. Rhodes, the winner, moves to 1-2. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 5 walks. John Parry nailed down his 1st save.
Immaculata HS used a clutch at-bat from Todd Ducklow to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Stallions ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Immaculata HS skipper Rafael Woodward. "I can't complain."
Immaculata HS occupies third place in the Atlantic Conference Canadian Division at 8-7.
