The Scottish Claymores overcame a good performance by Amsterdam first baseman Kosaku Ishikawa to knock off Amsterdam, 6-5, at The Castle. Ishikawa was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. The Claymores are now 58-46, while the Lions fall to 44-59.

The Claymores got a big boost from third baseman Júlio Luna who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Lions hurler Jake Bain. It was his 72nd walk of the season and put Scottish on top, 1-0.

"Fun game," said Luna, "even when the outcome was in doubt."
